We are all intelligent in different ways. Howard Gardner is famous for his research on the human brain and human intelligence. He has defined eight different types of human intelligences that we all possess. We are all better at some of the intelligences than others. Find out which intelligences you are best matched with by taking the Assessment found at the link below. We learn better when we use the intelligences we are best matched with.
http://www.literacyworks.org/mi/intro/quickreview.html
Scroll down to read about the different intelligences.
Click on Assessment in the green box in the bar at the top of the page. Click on the link that says Here is an interactive form.
Answer the survey questions. When finished, click the Find my strengths! button at the bottom of the assessment to find out which intelligences are your best.
You will be scored for each intelligence and you will be given examples of activities for your top three . Write down your top three intelligences and your scores on the index card given to you.
Write a short reflection on how accurate you feel this assessment was for you. Write your reflection on the back of your index card. Do you agree that the top three intelligences are like you? Which of the suggested activities do you enjoy best? Were there any suggested activities that you do not enjoy? How do you think this information can help you learn better?
